I think the shope beside Kai Chin is better. Maybe more expensive but at least it is brand new.

The Kai Chin Sealed Lead Acid (Also known as Gel Cell) is NOT BRAND NEW. It could be from some 2nd hand or from some manufacturing that go bankrupt.

Another shop will be Rocket Electronics or something like that in SL Tower.

Spend a bit more on a Yuasa, Hitachi or CS if you can help it....lasts longer in terms of cycling times...Cheapest you can get a CS is at the shop right next to Kim Chew battery shop.

Is there anyway to find out when the 12V Cell is empty? Currently i am using it to charge 2 Cell 1800 mah Li-ion, how many cycles can it go before having to recharge? currently i recharge it after every 6-7 cycles....

            Regards
            Edwin

SLA batts' capacity is the best to judge by voltage. 12.8 good....12.2 okay....11.6 gone...and better don't push it or you'll spoil the cells very fast because these normal SLA batts are the deep cycle types.

U can jugde average capacity based on time....say your charger is giving out 1amps to your battery, and your SLA capacity is 7amps...you have to charge for 7 hours to give it a full charge...

              1amp x 7hrs = 7amps.

Say your Li-Ion charger eats 2000mah to give your 1800mah Li Ion full juice in 1 hour. (ie. charger draws 2amps/hr)

              You charge once, battery left 5amps (7amps - 2amps)
              You charge twice, battery left 3amps (7amps - 2amps - 2amps)
you charge trice, bettery left 1amps.....so on and so forth...

What you take out from your battery, you need to give it back...say you used 2amps from your 7amps fully charged SLA battery, then you charge it back with your 1amps charger.....it should take you about 2hrs before the auto cut off is activated.

              Simple enough to understand?

Correction: ....because these normal SLA batts are NOT the deep cycle types...

Ya i understand. so its ok that i recharge the 12cell even though its not completly depleted? bcose i scare i might shorten the life of the 12V cell if i do this....1 more thing the sticker on the 12v cell state this: " 12V 7.2Ah/20Hr" wat does it means???
