How Do I Get Myself Out Of The Mess!!!!!!!

HI! i am just wondering, i registered my futaba transmitter with IDA when i got it from SHS. Every year i would have to pay S$25. BUT HOW DO I STOP IT WITHOUT HAVING MY TX DESTROYED???? I know many people who dont have the proper liscense. But since starting this hobby, i have not have trouble with the law once. And if i want to sell my Tx away, how do i terminate the liscense or redirect the bill??

Seriously, you're stuck unless you decide to keep the transmitter in the closet forever.

Similar for amateur radio equipment, they will seal up the equipment. Contact IDA, tell them that the transmitter is spoilt, and you're no longer in the hobby...so you want to terminate paying for the license.

See how you bluff your way thru...

a classmate of mine wanted to have his singnet ADSL internet account canceled. What he did was that he did not pay the internet bills so like that singnet would be forced to delete his account. To date,my friend has not been paying singnet for 9 months but he still has his internet account
In short dont pay the bills and see what happens.

I not sure about Singnet. Previously I keep on receiving M1 mobile phone bill for my previous owner of the house I live. I keep on sending back the M1 bill stated that so and so person no longer staying in this house.

After a few months, I receive and lawyer letter for the previous owner. I then called the lawyer firm that send the letter and telling them that person is no longer living here and finally the M1 and lawyer letter stop.

how much is the monthly charge? $20? To engage a lawyer and collect the debt from your friend is probably gona cost 999999999% more to Singnet compared to the monthly cost of $20. So if you're singnet wat'll do? u'll wana get the $ back, and yet u still need to pay the legal fees......I dun know about singnet or u.....but if it's me, I'll let the $$$ snowball ( maybe give it......5-8 yrs? ), then I'll sue till u friend drop his pants

better advise u friend to formally terminate the account via proper channel asap.

even if they have their own lawyer....don't they still need to finance the legal proceedings should they intend to take legal action in such cases? Unlikely that they will take legal action over only 1-5 months worth of unpaid bills.

even more unlikely though that they'll play dumb and allow people to use their service infinitely without paying

What I trying to say is, even the bill is only S$100, the M1 do resort to lawyer letter instead.

                        Background:
The house was sold to us quiet some time back. Then beginning this year, a police knock on my door and found out that the police is returning lost I.C. (My previous house owner's wife). The I.C. still stated as my house address.

Then about end of that month, I start receiving M1 and Singtel Mobile bill. That bill is name is the previous house owner's wife and address is my address. (Guess either she or his husband or someone using that I.C. that is lost to subscript new Mobile phone line).

At first I ignore the bill. But every month keep on receiving it. So I foward all the bill back to M1 and Singtel. Singtel do stop sending to me but M1 keep on coming. Then about a few months, I receive lawyer letter from one lawyer firm. I called them up saying no such person in this address. The lawyer firm told me to send back to them stated "No such person". After that, the bill stop coming to my address.

I had a similar problem before. But I do not know whether it is a bill or not. The letter was from one of our local bank. Kinda of angry to receive letters addressed to the 1st owner of our flat. We are the third owner. And this is what I did after receiving so many letters from the bank.

1/ I wrote on the envelope and said that the person was no longer staying here. And I was the new owner.

2/ I also wrote 'Don't your bank keep your database updated regularly? If not, fire your database manager!'.

3/ And the final words on the letter was 'If I received any more letters from you again, I would destroy all the letters'.

And I did not receive anymore letters from the bank addressing to the first owner again.
