A friend of mine bought a new R50V2 from Rotor...brought him around to get most things...gotten heli and radio from Rotor...but I brought him to Champion Hobby to get some other tools and such....

Gotten some packs of rubber bands for the training gear from chan...S$2.50 a pack...or was it $2...forgot...

Helped him setup the radio last sunday...and when I wanted to use the rubber bands to secure the strong box and battery...the rubberbands just snapped.....fed up....I toolk the whole back...about 10 rubber bands...and snapped every one of them...NB...kenna conned....

Went to champion on monday....and told him about the rubber band....I said....' Chan...your rubber bands not good...all snapped....'

He said ' no lah...how you use one...WA ENG AH BO DAI CHI'.....I super fed up....

Asked him to open the cupboard...I offered to pay for a pack and show him how the rubber bands break....he declined...saying that if I know that the product is defective I shouldn't buy it anymore....

Asked him to remove the things from the cupboard...but he refused...he said....' aiyah..if you know it's no good then don't buy loh....you cannot tell me not to sell it....'

I super fed up...thinking of lodging complain with CASE...anyone knows how to do this?!

anyone wanna submit a joint complain with me???

Maybe you guys should just list down the unhappy incidents with him....will complain till be ' tng kor'

First u need to apply to be a CASE member......

No use saving $1 and waste $2.00

I would have saved more if I just bought everything from Rotor.... considering the number of things I bought from him and already chunk into the dustbin after 1 or 0 use.

- 2 exhaust redirector (gave me wrong size)
- 1 "garenteeed better than stock TT" header tank holder (it was too small to hold the stock TT tank)
- 4 "garentteed better than O.S." glow plug (engine went crazy, tunning keep running)
- glow plug extension (broke within 2 weeks)
- "Hitec swtich for heli" that came with a non Hitec/Futaba plug
- etc etc etc

all because I knew nothing then and trusted him.....
I learned my lesson, I either get from Pips, rotor or overseas... or I make do without the item....

I do have a lot of unhappy encounter w this guy.


1) Bought a ESC that cant arm initially
2) Ask for replacement gear for VS-6 and they claim don hv ( in fact its displayed w 20 over packet )

After this 2 incident, I banned the shop. But I still goes there quite often, just point to this and that and ask for price and never want to buy from him .... make him think that his enquiry went up


Some of the stuff I decide to get elsewhere tho its more ex ....

1) J3 Cub kit - rotor
2) Spitfire kit - Pipps

I don want to risk bringing a kit back home to realise 1 wing missing.... u gonna have a hard time w him

I don want to stop you for pursuing w CASE. However, u need to have grounds, proof of purchase etc.

I have gotten heaps of stuff off him.

RX Feaigo .....continulay gliched...would not replace
filler bottle or the car ...head cracked when I got it and leaked fuel everywhere.
glow plugs ...more like fishing sinkers ..at least they will work in fishing!!
12v glow plug cable ....not ment to be used with 12v!!! but he tols me that this is the right one!!!
RX battery pack ..stuffed ..would not charge ..changed over but put the stuffed one back on the shelf!!!!!

. I too have banned this store ..willing to pay a bit more to get the knowldge of a return if broke.

Ps he has a no return no refund policy stated every where in his shop....is that legal???

I would be will to assist with the CASE case as he need to be taught that this type of behaviour is not acceptable!! ...he is selling new equiptment and needs to ensure that its working!!!

I told Fit about this before..... We go down with a big bunch of people, all ask to buy something expensive.. then when about to pay.... one person or everyone starts inspecting the goods like they cannot make it.... then 'screw' them upside them and leave the shop.. never eva to walk in again.... That's of course u think u'll never need anything from them again lar....

Eh... what is the use by venting your frustration and create a scene at the shop?
- today u vent frustration..
- tomorrow he nice to u
- friday he ko-tok u again.... ...
... now who end up losing? His bank account will still be ringing with $$$.

Just stop patronising it and advise others not to.

Guys, just stop buying things from him, i'm sure 99.99999% of his stuff is defective, most of the time.
On one hand people really hate his service, on the other hand, people still go buy things from him because it's a few dollars cheaper, but to tell you the truth, it's not worth to crash our $$$ r/c toy just because we can save some few lousy dollars, nobody says this hobby is cheap, to a certain extent, yes, i bought his exhaust deflectorsand it started to drop off due to brittleness after flying for less than 8 flights!, Rubber bands bought for friend's high wing trainer also snapped after a few flights.Needless to say, plane crashed, just because i wanted to save some lousy dollars for my friend, plane's repaired though. But i felt bad/responsible for my friend, because i'm the one who bought those lousy rubber bands!
Make him go back to selling just 3rd grade motorcycle parts for the rest of his life.
If you still buy things from him, he will still think that you lose because you came back to buy something from him, he will still be cocky, and with no refund no return no everything policy, forget it! I would rather spend my hard-earned money somewhere else. Period. There are more than enough hobby shops to choose from, take heart!

Yup agree totally w Astroboy but I feel it is still necessary to bring such topic alive to serve as "booster" in case someone cave in to patronise seeing the few dollars saving.

Newbie skimp here and there to start this hobby. If they think they got a good deal at Champion, good luck! The worst is yet to come.

So whoever reading this posting, go ahead and visit them as many times as you wish but ...........



Do not buy anything from them, make them work for you, not the other way round

The only way to stop him is, STOP! buying things from him when I mean stop it mean everybody not just DaddyHobby but other forums ppls too. We must all give him a Good Lesson to learn. So when he got no income from his hobbyshop by the time he will know WHY? I know there 's afew member here had stop buying things from him already and me too! Let 's try and see if it work or not shell we?

Bwahaha.. i went there with my friend to check out the ducted fans they have there.. got him to take out all the diff types of edf from the edf 55 to the edf 75, we were examining and looking at the specs of each one.. got him to take down a spd300 with gearbox just to check whether the spare shaft which i needed fits..

All in all spent about 30mins of his time there and bought a 4 bucks shaft.. see his face after that shoik like anything!

Last time I was there was 8-9 months ago when I still flying Dfly...

I still not going even if I were to need anything from them. I CONFIRM not buying from him even rubber bands. Heck, other shops gladly give me 1 or 2 for free!

Do all new comers a favour.... know or see any newbies, just tell them to visit DaddyHobby and read about champion!
