    Unimat 1 Classic universal tool

Hello everyone, I came across this Austrian made multi-function electric tool set that is a 6 in 1 machine at Art Friend and it looks really versatile. Don't let the picture fool you, this multi-function tool is quite small and compact, it occupies less space than you think!

Here are more details on the link below. There is also a demonstration video showing what this wonder tool can do, I was very impressed but taken aback by the price.

I wonder has anyone used this tool before in Singapore. The price for this multi-function tool at Art Friend is quite ridiculous, the overseas price is at least a few hundred dollars cheaper and it is probably cheaper to order overseas and ship it in.

        Hi Genexis,

The list price at Art Friend Bras Basah is more than $1000! I was so shocked! The packaging made it look like some children's toy. I found it sitting below the tools right next to the Balsa wood section and it's the only unit there. The price tag is not on the box but on the shelf. I think it's hitting $1200 if I remember correctly and it comes with an instructional DVD, I found the same unit selling online for much less, just google the name "thecooltool Unimat 1".

It is very small, small enough to sit on your desk comfortably. The box is about 3 inches thick and about 20 inches long and 12 inches tall. I think it's designed for small craft and hobby work. Still it is very promising and I believe Austrian made products should be of very high quality, they are so confident that it has big words "5 year Warranty" emblazoned on the box packaging.

If I have money to burn, I would have bought one on the spot! This tool is way cool!
