    Singapore Fun-Scale Competition - Apr'06

    Attention all Scale Fliers !!!

The annual RMS Fun-scale Competition will be held on 16 Apr 2006.
    Program Overview:

    Morning: Static display & judging
Lunch time: Jet action display - turbine jets & show flying
    Afternoon: Scale flying schedule
After event: Scale formation flight and show flying (jets and much more)

There are 2 categories: kit/scratch built and ARFs.

All scale planes are eligible: Military or civilian

Just do your best on the finishing, eg. Repaint, weathering, add details etc. to get a good static score, and then fly it like real to get a good flying score. The flying program consists out of the same standard simple maneuvers plus your own special maneuver (bomb drop, touch and go....) The total score then decides who wins in each category.

The main point: The competition is open for everyone.
However RMS field rules apply: Non members are required to pay a $20 start fee. Only IDA legal frequencies are allowed (29 Mhz band) due to insurance reasons.

No scale plane yet?? Get one quick
Or why don't you come down to have a look, talk with the pilots and enjoy the friendly atmosphere.

We are looking forward to seeing you on April 16th at RMS opposite Raffles Marina (Tuas).

                      Hear Hear!

RMS invites you to feature in the STATIC DISPLAY (scale judging) even if you don't have the 29MHz freq to fly...! - so no insurance issues lor! so don't have to pay $20 day-fee lor!
However, as 'scale judging' consitiutes only 50% of the total score (flying sequence is the other 50%), you will not stand to win anything except... SHARING and APPRECIATING each other's scale efforts... meeting other scale enthusiasts... and maybe see some incredible machines fly!

Either way, come! Better still, fly!

*(oh, do look at the requirements on www.rms.org.sg & click on the 'Fun-Scale Competition' button for details...you can ask me questions; I'm the event organiser! )

Probably a space for 4 jets. Will rush as many as w/ workable suckers else will b in kit form on display.
