    New Firmware from Castle Creations.

    Hi all

Castle Creations just releases v1.04Beta on July 30, 2004. Here is the changes:
Improved startup operation. Improved low-voltage cutoff accuracy. Added ability to revert to v1.02 from 1.03b and 1.04b.

Then today I found that they release v1.041Beta on August 2, 2004. Here is the changes:
Improved PWM switching rate on PHX35/45 and PHX60/80.
Improved partial braking during coast down period.

I just patch to v1.04B. Haven't test flight it.

What about the governor? It seems like CC is abandoning us heli flyers and only listen to the plankers.
They keep coming out with revisions here and there but none to address the dreaded governor problems.
Its been a looongg......wait and still nothing

Ok.. Here are the suspected bugs in v1.041Beta. I already send an email to castle creations about it. Here is the email I send to them:

              ----------------------------------------------------
              Hi

I think I might found some bugs in v1.041B. Can you verify is it a bug?

              OK... Here is the situation:
              Bug #1:
              Hardware: PHX-10 + HA2015-4100 for main rotor. PHX-10 + CDROM Motor for tail rotor. 3Cells 1200mAH Li-poly.
              Chopper: Dragonfly
PHX-10 Main Rotor Settings: Normal Timing, Normal Current Sensitive, Brake off, Slowest Startup, Low Cut off, Cut off at 9V. Fixed Throttle.
Problem: When powering up, the main rotor will spin till about 50% to 60%, it tripped. Red LED blinking. Motor stop.
This problem does not happen on v1.02.

              Bug #2:
              Hardware: PHX-25 + HA2025-4200. 3Cells 1200mAH Li-poly.
              Chopper: Hornet II
PHX-25 Main Rotor Settings: Advance Timing, Normal Current Sensitive, Brake off, Slowest Startup, Low Cut off, Cut off at 9V. Governo High RPM Throttle.
Problem: One first connect power, one first startup throttle, the rotor/motor will spin up too fast. On consecutive throttle up, it will not spin up too fast (Just right). If power off and on again, the thing happen again.
