RC Sail Boat-Ponggul Park Pond

Hi,
YEs this group has been quite at it for some time now.
It is Saturday afternoon.
My understanding is that on Sunday afternoon they have another group there playing RC Power Boat (nitro and gasoline).
Check it out.

Clearing frequency

Last Saturday afternoon at Punggol Park, there were more power boaters.

And I wished these "power boaters" are courteous. Sat is for sail boats and sail boats has piority, the problem was, someone just turn on their tx without checking and clashed with one of the sail boats.

To me everyone can use the facility, but check before you switch on your tx.

I guess they r too lazy to walk all the way from the cafe end to check frequency....hmmm...this clashing thing will continue to be a problem ....but I have encountered some boaters who actually check frequecy if they happen to walk pass.

I hope we can solve this problem on this board. This is the problem that we have been facing with for some time. Let set the record right and stop world war III. Saturday 2:00pm to 6:00pm strictly Sail boat. Peter is the Man. See him. Sun 2:00 to 5:00pm Strictly Power Boat, I'll be there come and have chat with me, Ezzy the name/ Mobile: 94574864.These date and time are approve by N Park. If you come to play/run your model be it ele/Nit/Gas or sail on any other day you will be stop by N Park Officers on Petrol.On other days the pond belong to the resident, so let them enjoy the peace and tranquility. We Hougang CC Power Boater love our pond. For the last sat incident please except my humble apology.It will not happen again.

hmmm....tot the problem is with frequency....why controlling type of boat instead...

power boat make lots of wave and noise, sail boats are silent and don't create wave.

Secondly, accidents can happen. So better to have a schedule.

It will be ok if they each sail at opposite end of the pond rite? I observed tat the power boats don't sail pass the middle of the pond and most of the time just around the cafe area, probably easier to launch the boats there. And far at the opposite end of the pond is practically unuse.

Schedule is great, keeps thing organized, so that people know when to expect what, but tot the main issue is still with controlling the frequency rite?....

..think the priority system works well, i.e. on saturdays, powerboats try to confine to the cafe end and give priority to sailboats, on sundays, sailboats keep to the other end of the pond opposite the cafe, giving priority to powerboats. So, people who come with both sailboat and powerboat can switch boat anytime and sail at either end.

If there is a sailboat race on Saturday then powerboats should stop sailing cos they disturb the water too much for the race. If there is a powerboat race on Sunday, sailboats can still sail at the far end opposite the cafe cos they wont disturb the water anyway.

Hi everybody,
We control our frequency by the size of our boat for now. Gas will run with gas,Nitro with nitro, and so on. The others boaters will have their radio compound until it their turn to run. No more arguement of frequency jamming.( Yes I know that was not what happen the last sat ) It diffcult to please everybody, our running time is short 2:00-5:00pm. We are working on that with N Park. We station at the middlle of the pond coz some of our boats need alot of room to run, ( Yes I Know that was not what happen last sat) Saturday is not our given day we should not run our boat, with this said it is best that we stick to our days approve by N Park. It will be much easier to organize, I believe it will be better for the sail boater too. If you are a member with either the sail boater club( Mr Peter ) or the Power boat (Hougang C.C ) than you would have receive a letter of approvel to use the pond from N Park. Please comply. N Park officers on petrol will request this letter if you are approach. This way help us as to stop unwanted "visitors" who pop up at the pond and just switch on their radio without a second thought. Once again i plead PLEASE STICK TO OUR GIVEN DAY.
